Our Company
Atlas Arteria is a global owner, operator and developer of toll roads. Today the Atlas Arteria Group consists of five toll road businesses in France, Germany and the United States. We are focused on ensuring our customers, and the communities in which we operate, are well served by the transport links we provide.
Atlas Arteria (ALX)
Our vision is to benefit the communities in which we operate through reduced travel time, greater time certainty, reduced fuel consumption and carbon emissions and to provide an enjoyable travel experience.
Our strategy is to deliver growing distributions and enhance the value of Atlas Arteria's portfolio for security holders.
We seek to invest in global infrastructure businesses that generate stable cash flows and offer resilient long-term performance through economic cycles.
Our primary focus remains on supporting organic growth within our existing businesses. We remain open to consider accretive opportunities where there is a strong strategic and financial case, both from within, or complementary to its existing portfolio.
Atlas Arteria commenced payment of distributions in April 2013 and has since provided security holders with a growing distribution profile. The potential for payment of each distribution is assessed by the boards every six months as cash is received by Atlas Arteria from its businesses.
We work to create long-term value for our investors through considered and disciplined management and sustainable business practices. You can find our full Vision and Values Statement here.
Our History
Atlas Arteria (ALX), previously known as Macquarie Atlas Roads (MQA), was created out of the reorganisation of Macquarie Infrastructure Group into two separate ASX listed toll road groups in 2010.
Atlas Arteria was externally managed by Macquarie Fund Advisors Pty Limited until 31 March 2019 when ATLAX and ATLIX terminated the Management Agreements. This followed an agreement to internalise management between Atlas Arteria and Macquarie Group entered into on 9 April 2018, and securityholder approval on 15 May 2018 at the Atlas Arteria Annual General Meeting (at which time the agreement became effective). On 1 April 2019, management of the entity transitioned to its current management team.
Further detail on transition arrangements can be found at Overview of legal framework.
